Evaluating the Seargeants

The short form of Objective structured Performance- Related Examination is OSPRE. It was introduced in 1991. The exam is conducted for evaluating the ranks of Sergeant and Inspector. The test consists of test knowledge, understanding of the law and procedure. It is tested only for police officers in England and Wales in sergeants and inspectors. The OSPRE part 1examination contains 150 multiple choice of questions and the duration of the examination is three hours. The question and answer is prepared by trained people. They have more policing experience and knowledge of the relevant legislation. If you want to apply this exam, you refer to the Rules and Syllabus document. This book contains the rules and regulations for OSPRE and the National Police Promotion Framework. The book provides the common information of examination process, plus it contains a list of last year question and answers. The OSPRE part 2 examinations consists of a scenario based and role playing exam that is used to express the candidates’ management and supervisory ability and potential. The examination is held only for both parts of the police promotion process. The part 1 exam has standard syllabus and it has examination blueprint. Part 1 consists of knowledge of law and procedure and part 2 contains role acted work samples. The candidates should fill the entry form and to keep a photography then record of the date.
